Stop and smell the roses!

You have heard the phrase "stop and smell the roses". It is a phrase that encourages us to slow down, appreciate life’s beauty, and be mindful. Whether it’s metaphorical or literal, the message remains the same: pause, enjoy, and be present in the moment.

Our biggest mental hurdle is slowing down or stopping. We see this as weak or nonproductive. It couldn't be more opposite from the truth. Without the pause to refresh, you will find yourself MORE stressed and MORE likely to burnout.

Is it important to note that in order for you to make this time worthwhile, you need to focus and be present on yourself WHILE you are smelling the roses. It does you no good to pause and keep thinking about your stress. Open up like a bouquet and allow the goodness to surround you. Enjoy the beauty today!
